I was looking at an eBay auction that sells the wheel and tire packages and the wheels come with 205/40/17 tires. I want to know if the 205 is too small for the max to handle on stock suspension (atleast until this summer).

 

It's only problems are IMHO:
Speed will be incorrect
it'll be an extremely harsh ride.
and you'll look rice

 

Rice - I can handle it because I'm 17 years old

Incorrect speed - I'll change the size when I buy new tires

Harsh Ride - I love the feel unless it's due to my ride hitting the ground on every bump.

 

It depends on how wide the rim is, if its a 7" wide (or wider) rim then 205 will not be wide enough to protect the metal at the edge of the rim (ie. you wont have any tire protecting the rim incase you tap the curb).

 

the rims come with the tires mounted already for only 600 shipped!!
