license lamps rusted out

Thought it was gonna be a simple matter of replacing a $1 bulb--wrong!! The whole thing is corroded away, can't undo the screws to replace bulb at all. Online the whole assembly is $23.45 discount, plus 0.43 per grommet times 3. Talk about throwing away the baby with the bath water. Not sure if anyone else has encountered this problem. But after 73 months on the road, this lamp is only the 2nd one to need replacement, knock on wood.

Yep...I did too!....I ended up just converting my entire license plate lights to white LED's instead when this happened. Lata! - Jeremiah

Ha ha, I had the same problem. The screw was rusted to hell and I couldn't replace the bulb.
