Door Panel Fabric Replacement?

Has anoyone replaced the ugly stock fabric on the inside door panels? I guess this dosen't apply to the 92+ models. I have a black/white interior with the exception of that damn fabric right under the door handle. Only the fabric comes off...it's just glued on or something. I just can't see how to stick new fabric there. Any suggestions?

It still applies to 92-94 cars too... especially since mine has a 1989 Interior..lol

The panel behind the door handle is applied with glue as far as i know... I asked a car upholstery shop about replacing them when i swapped interiors.

Could use a hair dryer to heat up the glue and then remove the panel...

There is no "pulling" the fabric off. The only way to do it, which is also the recommended method by www.leatherseats.com, is to simply get the new inserts, apply glue on the bottom (they recommend 3M's spray adhesive), and then gradually start tucking the inserts into the edges on the panel and patting them down. Done carefully, this gives a perfect fit and look.
