Grounded VTCs -- car dies, any help

After listening to my VTCs clack for months, I finally got around to grounding them this afternoon. Mostly because

Everything seems to be working fine (VTCs are nice and quiet) but three times today with the car fully warm, it died on me when I pushed in the clutch. Once coming up on a stop sign, once at about 5 mph in a parking lot and once when I pushed in the clutch at about 20 mph getting ready to coast to a red light.

Has this happened to anyone else? Is it possibly something with the ECU? In other words, should I unground the VTCs or will the computer correct itself?

thanks,

chris

some owners have noted a rougher idle after the rewire. and at least one owner rewired and the engine died-I think people questioned which wire and grounding area he used-but I don't really remember which wires/areas he said that he used.

I triple checked with MrGone and I am sure I have the right wire. I've been in his car and he has his ground and put on a switch so he can toggle it on and off. I may do this later when I get some free time. I'll give it a few more days before deciding if my engine "likes" the VTCs grounded, I guess.

I just did the VTC rewire to my car also. today, april 14th is day 2, and i'm noticing that my car idles kinda ruff and the check engine light has been going on and then turning itself off. kinda weird. anyway, i'll give it a couple more days and then see what happens.

My engine idled rougher with the VTC's grounded (but it never stalled). It didn't smooth out even after about 1000 miles so I disconnected the ground wire and now just put up with the VTC noise.

on the VTC page, it mentions that if uneven idle occurs after grounding, then the VTCs may not be dead
