i had my car in for the transversal link recall awhile back...dealer said no fix required...i felt the knock again through my steering wheel-dealer changed the front left strut...knock was still there-dealer took apart the driver's side air bag and said there was some loose hardware(great!! real safe) now the knock is still there..so what the hell is the problem??? the max is going back in monday for service

 

i spoke to a guy the other day that had a knock and couldn't figure out what it was...it was his strut tower bar. he had probs with the stillen bar on his 03. that may be a good place to check. when are you getting the knock...under hard acceleration? turning? potholes and rough roads? good luck.

 

i had the knock before i got the strut bar and i feel it on potholes.
