code 1003...

replaced the neutral position sensor yesterday and i still have the same problem... same code... and still no reverse lights. this all happened when i had my tranny rebuilt this past winter... and as soon as i reinstalled it... it didn't work. i've checked all connections and fuses... i'm stumped. could it be something inside of the tranny not making a connection with the sensor? wonder if PRT didn't reassemble it correctly. if anyone could help me out i would be very appreciative.

Silly question: Have reset your ECU after changing the sensor? If u didn't know, the light will stay on until u reset it even if u replaced the sensor.
If u knew, forget my post!

i think i figured out what the problem is... i never realized that there is a "toggle switch" inside the tranny ... which is what the sensor makes contact with... and PRT never replaced mine after rebuilding it. so i now have to drain out my 5qts of Redline tranny fluid.
