PCV valve?

Like the title says, i've been trying to find the PCV location on a 2001..

Am I blind? Or just stupid ?

I've looked in several chilton/haynes manuals, but what they say isn't correct, like usual

Thanks for anyone's help...

Yep, it's right near the TB....mine was a bear to pull out, I had to use a set of needle-nose pliers to tug it out - also, if it's really stuck in there, you may want to take your intake off to give you a little more room to work - I changed mine while putting my new intake on, whole lotta clearance for when it finally came free

LOL...I thought that was it, but this is the first time I've seen a PCV valve with a clamp on it... It wasn't too bad to get out, it was actually harder to put back in...
I'll wait to take off the intake mani when I change the plugs... Should be fun...

there is a write up with pictures in the "how-to"(or the "FAQ-You") section. Its not in the index, so you have to browse the last pages to find it.

BTW, to moderators: isnt it time the indexes got updated?

Just to clarify, I was speaking of the air intake - it was easier for me to take out the PCV valve after I took off that whole assembly, allowed me to get in there easier with the pliers since the PCV was stuck.

Also to clarify, you don't need to take off the intake manifold to change the plugs on the Maxima, just disconnect the coils, and unscrew.

Glad to see you got the PCV valve changed.

Ohh, the air intake... Yeah, that would've helped a bit... Still wasn't hard though... I'm just not used to working on this car, it's not even mine.. It's my moms ride. My car is so straight forward it's not even funny..
1988 Chrysler Conquest TSi(same as Starion ESi-R) I4, turbo/intercooled RWD etc...

I like this site though, you guys are pretty cool to deal with... I REALLY respect that...No bull**** kind of place...Wait can I say BS? LOL

For real, thanks alot for the help...

Thanks for the location, I've had my new pcv valve for about 2 months now and had no idea where it was located.

DaveB, his telephone# should be in "faqs". Cheaper price than your local dealer and fast service.

Yes, it's made by 'Deutsch'...the only numbers on the package are "PCV169"

I picked this one up at Autozone, on the shelf...
