Should I sell for 4gen for a 5gen 2k2-2k3 one?

lately i been looking around at local dealers and private sellers to see if anybody is selling a 2k2-2k3 max se in good condition and around my price range...since i'm having a hard time selling my 98 se auto i was thinking maybe i should just keep it since it only has 74k....plus i have the money to drop in a stillen sc or custom turbo if i want to....what u guys think?

Do a turbo and ECU. The only reason to trade would be for a 3.5 IMO.

then maybe you should have invested money into car payments instead of mods

I have both and I'd say don't do it. The 2k3 is just a tad faster than my 4th gen with bolt-ons. But the car just feels bigger in general. Harder to park, and more random squeeks than the 4th gen. I'm sure if I modded the 2k3 I might feel differently. I still feel the styling of the 4th gen is better. But it depends on your tastes. One thing about my 2k3 to love: hids

nupe500, i don't mind that my car is auto and it's not slow either...i'm still deciding on what to do but i haven't find a 2k2-2k3 within my price range yet..i'm just the type that after a while i want to get something newer...

To me, a 98 should be in pretty good condition yet. A 2k2-3 is not sufficiently new or better for upgrade consideration, especially from a financial standpoint. I wouldn't even necessarily upgrade your 98. Be happy with what you have and maybe consider starting a "new car fund."

Good points. Start stashing some money for something cool a few years down the line. My plan is to hang on to my 4th gen as a daily driver, and eventually get something like a G35 I can slap a turbo on and throw in the garage.
