To all with the VB Mod

Its been a week now since ive had my vb mod and I have a few questions. How hard would you describe your 1-2 shift and when your car goes into overdrive does it slam into gear or go smoothly? Sometimes my 1-2 seems much harder than it should be(usually between 2-3k rpms) and my overdrive gear feels like it just drops in. Sometimes I dont even feel it. Just wondering what other peoples experiences are like. I have jeffs stage 2 by the way. Either way it shifts fast and definately makes the car more fun to drive.

that harshness of my shift depends on the rpm my motor is at. anything above 4k feels the same though...

just out of curiosity what size/make tranny cooler did you go with?

i went with the B&M tranny cooler which was put on 30k before the vb mod. its nice to chirp second but it was even nicer to spin all 3 gears when it was slightly damp out

My tranny does the same thing. 1-2 is pretty harsh in the 2-3k rpms. I've gotten used to it. I almost always rev it up over 3k now. If i'm in traffic, I usually go slow enough that it shifts under 2k. Give it some time, you'll subconsciously adjust yourself to it.

edit: btw, my overdrive also goes in almost unnoticeable and I have the tranny cooler that Jeff offers at Maximum Tuning. I forget which brand it is, but it seems to do the trick.
