CV axles: is there a any difference in aftermarket brands? or any preferences?

My CV axels are bad and i need to replace them. Is there a difference in quality and wear time in the different aftermarket brands? I can get a left axel for about 59.00 from Oreilly. (same price for the right side) Pep boys sells a proline brand for 74.00 any one have any experience or reason to stay with the expensive OEM factory axles?

ive used Napas axles with no problems. I dont think there is a difference really, unless they were some special 5 billion HP racing axle. get one with a lifetime warranty if possible.

i paid about $300 for my axles from www.raxles.com

i have an lsd tranny and i wanted to make sure i was dealing with someone who wouldn't **** up my order. (i had bought two axles earlier for LSD and they were both wrong - i paid more this time for it to be correct)

As G_T says, check out raxles.com. SOme good info there. To me, a lifetime warranty doesn't mean squat if I have to change and bring in crappy axles every 15k miles. In many cases, "remanufactured" just means they put in grease and boots and cleaned it up a bit.

New set of Raxels sitting waiting to be installed. Quality of the unit seems quite good. Time will tell.
Raxels has a special deal for Max.Org members. No core charge and pre-paid return shipping for your old cores.

When I ordered from raxles some two months ago, they also said the "org" deal was no core charge up front (you would be charged later if you didn't return them) and a free pre-paid return label for return shipment. The quality was outstanding (from appearance).
