I've never heard of a 3rd Gen. Maxima with drum brakes in the rear. So one of us MUST be on crack!!!!
I didn't think SE's came w/o rear disc breaks. Must have been an option. Go to a junkyard. I saw some the other day for $50. Just get the break lines, rotor/caliper, mounts, axle (if needed), etc. You might wanna wait for someone w/more experience to come along and help ya

check out the FAQs, there is a writeup for converting to disc brakes
5ltr guy - GXEs came with drums in back (unless they had ABS) while SEs had discs all around

some experiences with removing rear strut assembly and brake bleeding are needed for this project. Honestly, I haven't done the brake bleeding part yet so I can't attest how easy it is. But as far as the conversion and the parts needed. Check out www.car-parts.com, look for the rear spindles from 94 GXE cars. Most 94 GXE sedan are equiped with disc. I know it becuase I owned one and I've also brought another spindle thru that website, so I know the process. I've also removed those suckers several times, too. They're not that expensive at all. Most places will offer you for around $150 for all of the parts for both sides, spindle + caliper + parking cable + other craps. Just be sure you asked for it, otherwise they'll just send you 2 ugly maxima drumsticks. Look for the most affordable salvage/junkyard places. Of course, whatever you do DON'T order from the same state as you're in cuz they'll tax ya. Get it from a store in the nearest state for speedy delivery and lower SH freight. These stuffs are heavy as hey and they're gonna cost ya a few limps to cover the freight if you're not playing it right. One last thing, it's gonna be a stressful project if you're thinking about it....be prepared to unlease plenties of angers!!!!
