My wind noise is WORSE after the dealer performed the TSB for rear window wind noise on 2K2 Maxima....anyone else have this happen? This really irritates me.....makes me want to trade it in, the 04 TL's sure are nice...................

Been there. Same problem with the dealer. So they ordered new weather stripping for both back windows gave it to me and I did it myself with some 3m foam as described above and even some rtv caulk. All you are trying to do is fill in the room or space where the window is misdesigned as it actually is too small for the space in some places.

Yes I had the dealer do it too. It cost me $100 cuz I was out of warranty. It really ticks me off cuz its still the same if not worse. The instructions on housecor's website are on my to do list. You know the old saying: If you want it done right, do it yourself!!

I did it on my 01 from housecor's site and am pretty pleased with the results. It doesn't completely eliminate the noise above 75-80 but it definately made a large difference, all for only $4 in weatherstripping from Lowe's and about 1 hour of my time!

I don't know where your noise is coming from but I saw on an auto show once where this guy opened a window and slide a dollar bill between the top of the rear door and body. Where it was very loose, he marked it with masking tape and added some type of black putty or caulk(sorry, can't remember) behind ot rubber seal. Hope this helps.
