whats the difference se vs sel

Is there any real differences between the limited se and the standard se other than luxury items?

this is in the FAQ's, but to answer your ? ..

no, SE-L is just cosmetic changes that include

- titanium-faced gauges
- titanuim-tinted 16" 5-spoke SE wheels, and badging
- "SE Limited" badging
- "SE Limited" logos on floor mats
- Optional Perforated Leather Seating w/ SE logo?
- Availibility of Crimson Blaze Red color

I have the perf leather...

That is one of the best model options and colors for the Grand Cherokee.
I used to sell those last year when the 04's first came out.
The Special Edition is a great value with fogs and the body colored sides rather than the "Jeep gray." Did you get the sunroof too?
Nice pick.....although the 6cyl is a little sluggish. It has good torque, but needs more umphhhhhh.

Thanks! I came close to getting the Laredo but found out I was getting more for the $$ with the Special Edition

Yep, I have a sunroof as well, love the Infinity system .. I agree, the 6-cyl could use a bit more power, Tranny could be a bit better too but they both get the job done. I got my Jeep before xmas, handled these MI winters like a pro, but i'm kinda putting too many miles on it, so once I get the Max re-registered in MI (my bro had it and took it w/ him to Chicago while his Passat was broken), i'll be driving the Max more this summer .. the Jeep is my winter driver .. w/ 7,500 miles closing in, no problems yet

I like having the best of both worlds, a Max and a Jeep

Do you have the Bose system in your 98 max?
If so, I would think it would sound better than the Infiniti one in the Jeep.
My Bose sounds so much better than the Infiniti, just because of the good amount more of bass that it has.
The Infiniti is lacking in the Bass area.
It still sounds good though.

my friend has bose in his '97 GLE, I don't in my '98 SE. I rode in my friend's max and the Bose really thumped for a stock system .. even the midlevel sound system isn't too bad, but I can do something w/ that when I get a chance

I'd have to say it's a tie b/w both Bose and Infinity systems since they both sound good, the Infinity does lack a little in bass, but it rocks quite well for a Jeep stereo, I also like how the audio controls are placed on the steering wheel

I do like the functionality of the Jeep radios. It is very easy to adjust the treble and bass.....oh....well.....just the treble.....ha ha
