Nissan's Sportshift Stinks

A few months ago, my friend got an 04 SE with the 5 speed auto, and the other day we decided to test drive each others cars to compare them. I have to say I was really dissapointed with the sportshift in his car. First off, the shifts are slow as hell. With my car, I can chirp into 2nd gear by just momentarily letting go of the gas, shifting, and then getting back on the throttle. His car was just confused when I did that, and waited for 2-3 seconds to even get into 2nd gear. Also, once you get near redline, the computer shifts automatically for you in every gear. I was asking myself what the heck was the point of the sportshift if you cant even hold out any of the gears!
