this is most likely something i wouldn't get my hands on. but price is not an option unless it'll cost me over $500. is the dealer the best place to get it done?

As Prophecy1 said - this has been asked many many times, and each time the consensus has been, it is not worth it. Is is possible, yes, but it is impractical. I doubt you will find a dealer willing to do this retrofit for you... and even if you do, the cost will be prohibitive.

I have the manual controls and I too asked this ? a while back, and when I found out from the FAQ's and advice from fellow .org members, I figured I'd keep the manual controls

You're gonna need more than just the digital control and the wiring, all the sensing stuff needs to be installed as well, so you're probably better off keeping the manual controls.

IMO I like the manual controls better

It's good you read the FAQ's on this, but I agree w/ Prophecy1, too many ppl are asking this ? and the overall answer is it's not worth the time or $$

If you do decide to do it, more power to you and let us know on your progress

to anyone else who missed this in the FAQ, here is your answer
