opinion needed on exhaust setup

How do you think the following will sound? I'm going for a good deep tone and no rice ( probably like every other .org'er )

warpspeed y-pipe
magnaflow cat
custom welded mid pipe
Flowmaster delta 40 series

Only problem is i don't know which magnaflow cat is the best for my car As soon as i figure that out i can purchase the rest and install it after my next paycheck along with the tuneup !

Lemme know, thanks

Warpspeed Y pipe - yea, dyno results have proved a gain of power.

Custom welded mid pipe? Wtf? I hope you mean B pipe. The only "custom" job you will get is if you go to a mandrel bending shop or get a pre-mandrel bent B pipe.

What are you trying to do though? You want JUST the sound or what? Read this thread before making any decisions. All I've got is a Magnaflow muffler. It sounds great, but performance wise....maybe 2 HP.

I work at an exhaust shop, and I've learned a lot. So...just read this thread first.

Exhaust set-ups (unfortunately) for the maxima don't give really big gains in the performance department. IMO most people that get catbacks go for sound and tone (even looks). If i were you go with something quite and doesn't bring attention to you.

i have to somewhat disagree with you takentomax, true anything from the converter back is gonna give maybe 5hp high end, but after putting the ypipe on (which is all that i have exhaust-wise), there were noticable performance results. i was able to get car lengths on my buddy in his 97 5speed from a dig at 40 before he put his on, which prompted him immediately to put the y on ;-)

ahem yes i did mean b-pipe, just the pipe between the cat and muffler, and the reason for that is im not going to go and buy a full catback exhaust system for ****ing atleast 300, waste of money in my opinion
