warpspeed y-pipe

We don't currently make a 5th gen pipe, but I am firming up plans today with a 5th gen owner to prototype a Y. We will be making both 2.5" and 3". If my past experience serves me well, we will be looking for 1 or 2 owners to do a trial fitting and to provide us with feedback. We will keep you all posted.

Dan, do you know if you will have a Ypipe for the 2001 Calif emissions Maximas? They added some more stuff that might need to be looked into...

We thought we had a guy sending us his 5th Gen OE Calif. pipe to look at, but it hasn't happened. If anyone out there is willing, I am sure we can make a deal on a pipe or perhaps even some cash. Come on guys I know there is one in somebodys garage just taking up space. e-mail us.

Is there any chance you guys would make headers? If you did tons of people whould buy them and you would be come well known for being the first company to produce them. If your company is near R.I. I would be glad to help prototype headers. Let me know. Thanks!

Yeah, per DaveB at Southpoint All 2001 Maximas are now Calif spec. There is not a federal one made anymore.

Good grief......that's just pathetic....

Why must we all suffer because of Californication?

If they want to run their state like Socialists, let them....but the whole country...ugh!

Does anyone know if this is a requirement by the government, etc, or is Nissan just streamlining production parts?

Re: Really?

I really wonder how much loss of power there is between the fed and calif. Anyways, I bet its one of Nissan's cost cutting ideas, is to do that...so they don't have 2 models. Bastards..

I prefer everything to be polluted so that I'll die sooner....

Seriously, go after diesel cars/trucks, airplanes, non-nuclear power plants, volcanoes (yes I said volcanoes) if you want to REALLY cut pollution. Modern passenger cars are pretty much efficient as they are.

Forcing automakers to put more power robbing crap on there and having those costs past on to us is nothing more than another car tax....

But that's a whole other discussion...

Exactly, In Japan, if your car is older than 5 years, you will be taxed heavily due to more pollution your car will produce, thus you dont' see any cars that are older than 5-7 years running on the streets, compare to US, come on I see some old *** cars without muffler and black smoke coming out of tailpipe, why doesnt' government do anything about those old cars..instead keeping on having those rediculous emission regulation against New cars which already running efficient.

That is why we don't get any good performance cars in US..cuz it costs too much to make it California emission legal and it's not worth of money..

Damn!!!!!
