sorry if it's been asked before, but i can't search.But, besides this not being street legal, is there any other drawbacks to this "test pipe"? or is it actually good for a few horsepower.

For one if you have an after market cat back exhaust that one will make it sound like crap. Secondly it will not show any gains if you don't have a super charger or a turbo. Lastly, in my personal experience it screwed up my gas mileage. I just installed a new cat and my car runs just as strong as it did without one. what year is your maxima ? having been down this road before, i wouldnt do it. if you have a 95-96 that would be double reason to leave this alone.

ha, i bet this is because of swing set theft. cheap test pipe makers could be sneaking around and stealing peoples swing sets and cutting pipe out of them.
