if your a 5 speed .. they are good.
its more of a weight reduction mod ..which ends up in performance mod..
"supposidly" 5-10hp gain.. but i doubt that..
just a little better launches...

Motorstorm or Unorthodox.. are good brands

I have the Definitive UDP for more than 20K...still works fine.

As for performance, you will feel the car responses better at launching. Another thing, my interior dash lights was dimming at idle after the UDP's installation but I resolved that issue w/the hypergrounding wires kit.

The unorthodox UDP is always a good choice!

UDP doesn't produce HP it free's some because of a weight reduction (1.2 lbs versus 7-8 lbs ) or if you prefer this other explanation the UDP steal less HP because of of it weight versus the stock heavier crank pulley. If you have a big stereo set-up then your idle may be a little uneven, all this because UDP are smaller in diameter than the stock crank pulley which make the alternator spin a little less. One of my friend which is an engineer at Pratt & Whitney, came with his theory while I was showing him my Motorstorm UDP. He basically said that the car company are likely to balance the crank with all the componenent that are directly connected to it on one side being the crank pulley and on the opposit being the Flywheel. I think it would make a lot of sense to compare the ratio of the weight distribution, as an example we know the stock crank pulley weight 7-8 lbs and the stock Flywheel around 21 lbs, if you replace the stock crank pulley and shave 6-7 lbs on one side of the crank it seem to make sense that for keeping a good ratio in weight distribution throughout the crank line you would need to reduce the equivalent lbs-ratio on the Flywheel. I though his reflection on the weight distribution and balancing is quite interesting and certainly cought my attention, I will hopefully make some calculation and see what it tell.

Cheers to all.
