Car shuts down while driving

Bought a 91 maxima 6/7/04. While driving around 55 - 65 the tack drops to 0 and the car hesitates but regains speed (this usually happens when I go over a rough surface) but the other day I was going about 25 mph and it shut off and I restarted it. Any suggestions?

rpobobly somthing to do with the ignition system

start by doing a tune up

cap rotor plugs plug wires

then see if it clears up

From: Skokie (look it up)
actually sounds more like a fuel system problem.

I went through this with my 93 SE. Check the ignition coils for cracks. If they have cracks, replace the coils and everything will be fine.

remember 91s dont have coil packs they only have one coil

it could be the fuel pump also but id check the ignition system first
