Stillen RSB vs. others (esp addco)

Im looking for a RSB for my 99SE but dont know which is better. Does anyone know if there is a diff between Stillen RSB and Addco in terms of performasnce? Seems like stillen's bar is thicker and therefore should be more effective against torsion. Is it worth the trmendous price?
and what places typically install the RSB? For what price?

go to FAQ
I had the same question a few weeks ago. Just got my 95 se. As you'll see many people will read this post and not reply. apparently cause this is a tired question. All the guys that have been on this site for some time have kicked this one around already sooo. what I found out was ....go to the maxima.org home page and choose the MAXFAQ link. this might tell you what you want to know. Now if you are actually looking for testimonials.....you're probably not going to get it. That's what I was looking for....you know a whole bunch of guys debating how one works better than the other.
looks like stillen stuff is the best. i think their sway bar bolts on directly to the suspension? where as the addco is clamped on??? I think. Anyways I ordered the addco cause it was 119+ ship handling, maybe tax if you're in CA.. Goto Shox.com or call them. People seem to like it. Good luck
from a newbie to a lurker......be sure to get the front strut tower bar first.....looks like it doesn't matter what brand. i got a courtesy cause it was the most popular.

The Stillen RSB is the best unit. Nicely engineered clamps, well-finished, etc.
The ADDCO unit works just as well but is far cruder. U-bolts are used for clamps and the ends of the bar itself are "pinch" cut (looks crude).
I have the ADDCO bar. I've already broke one of the u-bolts when I was adjusted the bar. The ADDCO kit uses these u-bolts as clamps, which is not really the right way to utilize a u-bolt. Nonetheless, the bar does work and the hardware shouldn't break unless you are constantly adjusting the bar like I was doing awhile back.
If you don't want to spend the extra money, the ADDCO bar is fine. If you can afford to spend more, get the Stillen one. Unlike other Stillen products, the RSB's increase in price is justified...it really is a well-engineered kit.

They all do the same job. The more expensive units are prettier. One thing to watch out for is that annoying bracket on the driver side strut tower of '99s. Some bars require that you remove that bracket, a tedious job with a hacksaw or Dremel rotary grinder. I recently installed a Courtesy FSTB and its end plate had a notch to clear the bracket. Whichever unit you buy, make sure to ask about the fit on a '99.

.. He was referring to the rear sway bar, not the front strut tower brace.. And im just kidding man
If i knew anywhere near as much as you do id figure out why my car makes funny noises. Either way your help is always appreciated, ill probably get flamed for correcting you. Bahahha.BTW, I prefer the Stillen RSB as well. You can still manage to jack up your car with it in.. the Addco.. ive done it too, on the rear beam.. just watch out
The stillen bar just looks bigger/heavier .. and mine hasnt loosened or anything..

Its ok Daniel, your a good perosn so i'll let that slide.
Anyways, the Stillen works just s good as the Addco. The Addco is just way cheaper. The Stillen unit alos looks great but who is after looks when it comes to something that is under the car. They both do their job great. I had the Addco for about 6 months now and it still works fine and no rust. When it comes to performance, its more about how well it works and less of looks. That is just me though.
Maxima Day @ Stillen?????

OK thanks guys, your info helped a lot! Im gonna wait til maxima day to find out if i can get stillen's for substantially less. If not, I should propbably stick to Addco then.
