I had the Green Stuff on my old SE-R (R.I.P) and man they went quick (lasted 14k miles). They dusted like crazy. I applaud EBC for experimenting with different compounds i.e. Kevlar. However, the **** doesn't work that great. I'll admit my heavily modded SE-R wasn't babied, but still 14k miles that's juss too fast.

EBC's suck. Performance Friction, the only way to go.

I'm suprised nobody has mentioned Porterfield... supposedly they are the best, but they are not cheap.

I too had EBC greens and thought they were good until I put on the Performance Frictions. I now realize that the EBC's suck big time. I hear that Porterfields are a good choice also.

I have almost 20k on my ebc green pads and brembo rotors still breaking hard! Slight shudder when breaking at high speeds is my only complaint!

Is this based on feel or actual testing. Remember, one pad may bite harder but that doesn't mean that it is slowing the car down any faster.
Also some are mid-temp pads. So they won't warm up to good stopping temperatures until after a few stop signs. Don't get EBC red pads. Not because they are bad or anything, but because they are not appropriate for your use. Use a streetable pad with the lowest operating temp you can find so they have their max grip at most times.
This is like telling people to get the biggest rotors they can, that won't stop you any faster even though the pedal is suddenly more sensitive.

Seth

P.S. On my max i use OEM pads for now until they die. I have KVR pads on my sentra and metal masters on my Acura. The KVR pads are the best I've used (slow to warm but really stop the car well, good feel and shorter distances with no lockup). The Metal masters stop as good as stock but with better brake feel. I'm wondering what's available in the maxima sizes. I want a street non-race pad that is agressive.
