this forum is getting a lot more threads than that of half a year ago. It is hard to go to each page and look for answers like before. On top of that, we have a lot of people asking the same question over and over.



So......can we have an FAQ stickie like what we have in 5th gen or 4th gen forum? This FAQ will be created by mod and member will post answers to the questions.

what do you guys think?

 

I'd really like to see one. The only problem is, all the people that ask the dumb questions that flood this forum won't bother to look.

if they started a thread and ask stupid question, then we can always refer those people to the FAQ in their own thread.

 

I have a whole list of thread links I saved that I thought were pretty informative on turbocharging these cars...if you start a faq or wanna add to the one Jay has up top I'd post the links and titles of what they're about

 

If you have any helpful links and or threads I missed, please add title link, pictures what ever you want etc...I have tried my best. I am also in a very stressful situation so I have not updated anything. I am sorry. You guys can handle that while I am away. If something is messed up, Ill clean it up when I get back next year.

thx Jaime. I saved a lot of links to some of the supercharger related threads on my home computer. meanwhile, I will start a new thread on the FAQ so we can start to add stuff to it.

btw.....you are going to be gone for half a year? where are you going?

I think it would be a great idea, just need to find someone who is willing to spend the time putting it together. Answers to questions like some below might be helpful to some:

Which 300zx injectors can I use
Which fuel pump do I get
How much HP can I run on the stock injectors
What's the hobb switch mod
Where do I get new S/C pulleys
How much boost with what pulley
Which ratio disk should I use
How do you figure out your new fuel pressure with the FMU
Where do I get the steel idlers
How do I use a 300Z MAF
Belt sizes
Where do I grind the plate for smaller pulleys
What's the difference between a 95-97 S/C and 99
What type of gauges should I have boosted, where to get them
Will my Auto tranny hold the S/C or Turbo
Which turbo fits my car/application best
What kind of engine management is available
How do I hook up e-manage
How do I hook up an AFC
Which BOV is the loudest/best fitting etc.
Do I need an intercooler for my S/C or Turbo


I could keep going forever, just sick of typing. Since I just went though a lot of S/C questions I could help with some of those...

 

I started a new thread for the official FAQ. feel free to add those and the answers to that thread if you have time. I will be doing the same when I get back home.
