I would like to get a autometer tach with shift light for my 96 SE. How hard is it to hook it up?

You can do it in any car, and it should be easy. I would put one in my Max, don't think it would look right, just my opinion.

it can be done.. but really its more show than go, unless you really have something under the hood.. if you want the cool shift light.. there are ways to do that.. and then hid the light inside say the air vent or what have you.. unless you really want it to be for more looks..

2nd question is is your maxima auto or 5speed?

I do alot of racing at night, it helps to have a clear view of the road. A shift light or larger tach would make it easier to pay more attention. I go to school in Detroit and sometimes er....the drag strip appears in secluded areas. PS. yes its a 5spd.w/ SC. (300hp giveortake)

okay well this is just my preference, but all you would really need is the shift light. there are several that are sold that can be set to a specific rpm. the tach is being redundant in my opinion.

What is the best shift lite on the market(not tach just light). And does anyone have advice on how to put it in the air vent. I would rather it be hidden than screaming for the cops.Pics?

thats the one i have.. its a simple LED setup, and installing it in the air vent was fairly easy.. doesn't scream to cops at all.. which is what i like best, well that and the look on the oposing car driver's face
