NEW and best... so far... hyperground thread for 3.5VQ
What up guys I completed my hyperground for my 2002. I know there has been a spark of new writeups and threads on this, but have all been for the 3.0VQ. Compared to the other pics I've seen form other orgers my grounding is way more stealth than theirs. From what I've seen most people just lay the colored wires on top of the engine. I'ved wraped the wire with electrical tape and shrink wraped all connections. Check out my pics for a general overview or check my www for better pics of all connections.
I've been pretty weary about doing this mod, but out of boredom I'm decided to give it a try. I slowly completed the whole task so the change wasn't extremely noticable, but I do believe the car cranks faster and runs smoother after this was done. Sorry to bore you guys with this, but many orgers didn't know how or even start to ground the 3.5VQ. Just thought I'd throw out what I did for those that wanted to know.
EDIT - Notice on the first pic it doesn't show two of the wire shown in the second located on the intake manifold. They are there, but the first pic is from before I added then. I'll update them when I return home.
Materials needed:
22 ft - 6 gauge wire
13 - 1/4" #6 ring terminals
1 - 3/8" #6 ring terminal (darker blue wire connection to the engine)
1 or 2 rolls - electrical tape
2 packs - shrink wrap
lighter
10 mm socket and racket
10 mm wrench
extensions and swivels
Wire crimp
pliers

Some people put colored (red in my case) audio wire because they think that it looks good. It adds a bit of *bling* to the engine bay.
Nice job on the write-up. Very informative. Maybe posting it here will spark more interest.

haha my 3.0 hypergrownd owns you! No just joking....good that someone finally put an authoritative setup on the 3.5....I get a ton of pms asking about 3.5 hyperground and I'm like "wtf I have a 3.0 how should I know"
Interesting... First time I hear about this. Did I search in Yahoo and this thread pop up from G35Driver.com (http://www.g35driver.com/forums/show...sb=5%E2%88%82=).
Pretty cool implementation for the Maxima, wildmanal. Have you noticed any improvements?
