PFI customers ... someone missing a turbo?
Hi folks
We received a turbo a few days ago from Turbonetics that had been repaired under warranty. It belongs to one of our customers but don't know who it is cos it came with no info. The turbo was sent direct from the customer to Turbonetics and then returned to us.
If you are missing a turbo, please let me know ... of course I don't want everyone claiming they are missing a turbo, so you'll have to tell me what kind of turbo it is to prove it is yours. it's not one of our regular turbos!
Jamie, after reading one of the other threads, I believe this is yours. Sorry, I lost your cell number. Give me a call. You have my number!
By the way, we had a Custom Enterprises turbo maxima on the PFI dyno a week ago. It made 318 HP at 12 psi. Finally we got the chance to do a direct compare with the same dyno. I will post the graphs if people are interested. By the way, please please if you own one of these kits, run the oil dump down to the oil pan or into the lower part of the valve cover - not the breather! It gets really smoky cos the oil backs up and comes out of the exhaust.
Does anyone in CO have an S/C? ... maybe I should ask that in the right forum.
My next project is going to be an interesting one! Stay tuned!

probably white-gray smoke. I was getting alot of that. I no longer get that.
Nigel I sent you a email. Dont know if Bill or the other guy forgot to ship me my box. It has been over 2 weeks since I placed that order.

He means the drain side from the turbo gets backed up forcing oil past the seals in the turbine into the exhaust.
YOUR problem is having an 8:1 or 10:1 FMU disk while going WOT untuned. Whenever you're ready to fix that...lets make a trip to Apex Motorsports or better yet, Street Flight in Phnx.
