this may seem like a myth but its true ....

jeff ketch in mega max pulled off what i remember to be a 14.3 in a N/A 5spd maxima.... 4th gen...

I'm gonna try getting up to Great Lakes Drag this weekend for the free runs. Last year was just with a CAI and UDP I think.

 

Bryan H. could do mid 14's with his 92 SE 5-spd. I can't remember what his exact times were.

 

I think Bryan hit 14.4s a few times with his NA Maxima. He had some interesting top secret NA mods only a few of us know about. Plus he's the quickest shifter I've ever seen in my life.

Jeff K ran a 14.3@95mph on drag radials and 14.5s on street tires (y-pipe, ECU, CAI, catback)

Maddmax ran a 14.3@96+ mph with his 2K SE (y-pipe, CAI)

Then it pretty much goes up from there. A couple are in the 14.7-14.8 range and most are in the 15.1+ range. I plan on getting drag radials soon and hope to bust out a 14.4 or so.

I hoping with about 275 at the front wheels now and some 104 octane this coming WED. night I'll run mid 13's. Have spanked many mid 14 sec. Acura's and Honda's so....... keep your fingers crossed. Would love to see 12's but I doubt it. My guess is going to be a 13.67@105. That's my guess.... we'll see in 3 days. Later......

You've run many mid 14s NA or with the turbo setup? Were you running drag tires or street tires? Mods at the time?

I remmeber reading in a post somewhere. The most killer thing is he's an auto.

 

I now own the Mega Max, but the fastest I've gotten it to was a 14.86 @93mph with a 2.2 60 ft. I would do a mild burnout by pulling the car straight through the water and when it's time to spin, I would ****** up the e-brake, rev it a little, dump the clutch, and let them spin until I got a little smoke from them. I would usually launch around 3500 or so rpm's and would get no tire spin. It would just bite and go. This was on 205/50-15 BF Goodrich drag radials mounted on two of the stock rims. I still had my 17's on the back. I didn't have my system in at the time. Jeff had gotten rid of the ECU before I purchased the car, so my only engine mods are PR CAI, Stillen off-road y-pipe, no cats, and Greddy exhaust.
