What kind of speakers MB? BA? DA? CDT?
What kind of speakers MB? BA? DA? CDT?
Im replacing all my speakers but I dont know what to replace them with. I need something of the highest quality that will really amaze me. Im a bit familiar with some brands but i know there are others i know nothing about. So if you could fill me in on what to get then ill get to work. Also I have a 96, i removed the rear door panels once and saw that theres a speaker hole in the door. Is it worth adding a component set in the back and either keeping those on the deck or eliminating them making holes for all the bass to come through from the sub? I also heard that with the magnitude of the speakers i want and the power im gonna supply to them, i might have to redo the inside of the doors???/ Anyway, here are some of what i was thinking, and you tell me if there are anymore of the same level, their model #s and price (if known).
Focal 165W
BA Z6
MB Quart QSD
I heard some brands like CDT, Rainbow, Dynaudio. Fill me in on these and everything else i might not know about.

There are too many good brands for us to pick one. I have used Focals and CDT stuff and heard the MB Quart stuff. It all is nice stuff. The z6s from BA are supposedly sweet also. We need to know your budgetso we can make more educated suggestions, but in the end...you need to take a cd of a bunch of different music that you listen too and go around to any stereo shops you can find and listen to what they have to offer. See what sounds best to you. Some speakers might be too bright or not bright enough. Your ears are different from others and you have to find something you will like. It will take some leg work, but if you want something that will amaze you then it must be done.
Also, expect to power the front speakers with at least 100w per channel of clean power to really get decent performance out of whatever you choose.
Now...Like I said, I have used Focal and CDT and they both sound good to me with Focal being the better one. JL Audio is supposed to have some decent componets and you can do an all JL system for your speakers, subs and amps and You probably will be amazed, but I like to mix and match to a point.

I have the MB's and they are some of the sweetest sounding speakers I could have ever bought. These are in my 95 Maxima. I have components up front and 2 ways in the back. Focals are sweet sounding as well. If money isn't an object, Dynaudio is probably one of the most top of the line, bad *** sounding speakers made. They are veryyyyyyy pricey unless you got a hook up. It's all up to you but all the ones you mentioned are top choices.

Unfortunately, nobody can tell you what's the best. You've already pointed out some very nice speakers. What you like is what counts. I personally love the MB Quart's.
As far as installing rears, most will probably say yes, but for rear fill only. I have mine running at -5db's and it adds to the soundstage, but doesn't take away from it.
