I'm new, have a couple of general questions..

I'm new to the maxima world(read my post about transmission swaps if you want to know the story of how I came to aquire one..) And I have and will have more questions in the future, so rather than making a bunch of different threads, I'm going to keep them all in this.

First, there are specific rims I want to put on my Maxima, however, I don't know if it will be possible to do so, as they are originally on Porsches.. they are the black Fuch rims, pictured here:

and in better detail, here: http://66.96.87.164/images/rims006.jpg

Would it be possible to put these on a 92 Maxima SE?

I'm considering using Porsche design elements and implementing them in my Maxima.. don't really have anything specific in my mind right now, I was just thinking of how cool these rims might look on a Maxima, and it got me thinking of other Porsche things I like...

edit: By the way, the Fuch rims are 16"

Your going to need to check the lug displacement. Before you go through that trouble though, why would you want to put rims with a porsche logo on a nissan. There are other black rims with a chrome ridge. I would recommend finding rims to fit the car, not the other way around.

Well if I can find other rims with similiar style, that would be fine with me... these were just the coolest ones(in my eyes) that I could find. I'll find that lug displacement.

look for that style for a mustang. you will find it, but the spokes may be thinner.
That rim reminds me of the 70-81 Z-28 Rim

look familiar?

there are lots of black or gunmetal rims with a polished lip out there. Since those Porsche wheels are pretty old, I would guess that they are likely heavy and wouldn't do you any good from a performance standpoint.

Most German cars have a different bolt pattern then ours. I believe those Porsche wheels are 5x130, which won't fit our 5x114.3.

The most common stock wheels that people use that fit our cars are Mazda, Ford Mustang (94+) and Mitsubishi Eclipse. Bolt pattern is also the same as some Chrysler, Acura, Honda and Toyotas.

If I were you, I would go to www.tirerack.com and look at what wheels correctly fit your car. Or maybe go to ebay and do some hunting around, just to see what you like.

You are right, the displacement is 5 on 130, looks like I'll have to find different ones.

the alternative is to get an adapter plate.... if you want to shell out the dough.
