VTC's question

I have a 92 GXE with 130K miles on it. The engine runs great but under the valve cover it makes a noise which sounds like a loose chain. Is this the VTC tick? I read that it usually goes away when the car is warm. The only time I can hear it while driving is when the engine is under load, like when I am driving up a steep hill, if the engine is warm or not. Is it the VTC or something else?

Cheers,
Matthew

you dont have VTC's in your motor because you have the VG. Also it would be very rare for the VTC's to tick under those conditions.

You probably have a broken exhaust manifold stud.
