I was driving away from campus after hitting the bars with my friends, going about 45 when I came up on an intersection where the perpendicular road has to stop. Well some dip **** in a 93 Mercury Couger decides he wants to run the sign b/c he's too lazy to stop. I'm coming up on the intersection and see this (*synonym for odd*) out of the corner of my eye just blasting toward me and my precious max. I nail the brakes and, again, I forget the damn thing doesn't have ABS, so my max locks up and starts going side ways. After about a second, I start quickly pumping the brakes to bring my $9K investment to a screetching hault about an inch from this retards car. I actually thought that I hit the idiot until I got out and looked! Wow, if I wouldn't have seen that guy, my max would be totaled and I, again, would be looking for another 3rd gen to buy. Moral of the story, drive safely!

I'm glad you avoided that. Close call! I too, had to avoid a MORON that pulled out in front of me yesterday on my way to work. I was going 60mph and had to swerve into the oncoming lane, major pucker factor.
