Pimp My Ride - Maxima

Thought you guy's might find this interesting: http://www.mtv.com/onair/pimp_my_rid...e_guide/?id=11

It is an episode from Pimp My Ride from MTV and guess what car they are doing? A 84' Nissan/Datsun Maxima! Little things that sparked my interest in the actual episode is that the guy who worked on the body said the only body kit that he could really see working for the car would be a Honda Accord bumper. And in my opinion it seems to fit in very very nicely. Anyway thought you guys might be interested.

Well whether it is old news, I did not here about it so I would assume other newer people didn't either. Also whether it is ugly or not is definitely a person opinion because I think it looks a ton better than it did or a stock looks like. Sure there is some things that would have been done differently to make it look better but it still looks good imo.

Your talking about a round body kit on a boxy car....it doesn't go together. I have to say too, it's pretty ugly.

this max was for sale on ebay about a week ago and the person did not get a bid on. I contacted the person and they said they were willing to part the kit out if the car did not sell on ebay. I mean the kit obviously needs work but I am guessing you could getting pretty cheap, and if you can do your own body work it would be a pretty good platform to start glassin' from. Just thought I would give you guys a heads up, the person who is selling it lives about 3 hours from me.

the guy wrote me back and told me it would not be worth it to him for that amount of money. I personally thought he may take it considering he is selling a second gen that has a crap motor in it for 800 bux. Mine actually ran and I paid 600 for it. And he told me it (the body kit) cost something like 1700 new. And not to knock the car but the body kit was falling off the car and he told me it would take him an entire day to remove the body kit...oh well, it was worth a shot.
