What do you tell people when they say nitrous is "fake HP"?
I had a feeling something like this would happen eventually. I will be getting a 65 shot and JWT daughterboard installed soon, and am waiting for the ECU to get back to me from JWT. At my job a few days ago a new guy started working, and he has a 1990 5.0 Mustang (manual). With basic bolt ons and cams, he says he runs consistant low 13's. I told him I'm getting nitrous and he kind of laughs, and says it's "fake HP" and starts taking about how I'll blow my engine
. So I start asking him why he thinks nitrous is "fake HP" and he says since I'm injecting a foreign chemical into the engine, it's cheating. I know the basics of how nitrous works, but for future reference, I was wondering what you guys tell people when they try and act like nitrous isn't a legitimate way of making power. I don't even have it installed yet, but I can imagine that when it's installed I'll get that kind of response a lot more. Do you guys just blow the people off, or do you get technical on their *****?

I see we have some anti-N2O ferries on this board too. Check Dave Sz's post: http://forums.maxima.org/showthread.php?t=331500

Everyone has an opinion. You and he may disagree about it.
And on Nitrous being "fake" hp, it's a mod you put on your car. Is it always on? NO. Is it always 100%? NO
Don't sweat the people who badmouth it, but don't be billy bad@$$ when you have a full bottle and then hide when your bottle is empty/low.

I never let it run out

Or you could have a full spare 10lb bottle mounted next to the bottle in use. Then when pressure gets to low, switch bottles.
