how do I redo the boots on the rear end of a 83

hi Guys
I bought a hanes manual to help me understand my 1983 max better. And for the most part of it the book is crap. I need to redo the 4 boots on the rear end. I pick up the outer boots for $13.00cad each that is about .50cents US. But I had a bit of a problem finding the iners. I ended up ordering them from the dealer @ $65.00cad each and 4 to 6 week wait from Japan.
Does anyone have an idea how to replace boots?

I won't be able to respond to you until Thusday or Friday , I'm out to sea
Cheers

I wonder if this is the same as the 2nd gens, where you just replace the entire half-shaft instead? You should be able to pop the halfshaft, then remove the clips for the boots, slide them off, and then put them back on....

It shouldn't be too hard. You'll need to pop the bolts that hold the axles to the hub, and they should unclip out or unbolt it...not 100% sure.
