Now I'm getting MAD!!! DAM Tail Light fuse keep blowin!!!
Guys,
Spent several hours this morning trying to find where my short is for my Tail Light fuse. I disconnected the wire harness in the trrunk (driver side) that goes to all my lights. Plugged in the fuse and POOFFF... blew another fuse. So none of the wiring in the trunk should be causing it.
Tried tracing the circuitry from the steering wheel to fuse box, fuse box to trunk, see nothing suspicious.
Where can i get a diagram of the tail light on a 98 maxima? Would a Haynes manual or service manual help me out?
If the wires from the fuse box to trunk is good, what else could be causing it?

somethin to add... my brake lights are working fine and so are the emergency lights. if kinda sorta proves my circuitry to the back should be OK.
now if this is the case, the question i have is, "Aren't the tail lights tied to the front corner lights? Or something to the front of the car? Or are the front lights part of a different circuit pattern?" Because i noticed the corner lights (lights next to the headlight) not working either.

Yes the corner lights are tied into the tail lights. If you have done the brighter corner lights mod, then you might want to consider replacing the 7amp fuse with a 10amp fuse. You may want to read the how too's (bright corner lamp's), there is alot of usful info in there expecially if your having issues with your wiring.
Also the haynes manuel does have wiring diagram's that can help you trace the wiring inside your vehicle. Good luck!!!!!

yeah mine kept on burning cause there was a short in the spoiler wires and it burned the trunk cover thingy. I had to just cut the burned wires off and extend them with new ones. check it out. if u dont know what im talking about contact me on aim.
can u freakin believe it??? unplugged both bulbs from corner lights and VIOLA, no burnt fuse. i purchased my aftermarket corner light from Auto Light Trends. Turns out they had a piece of **** bulb in there that keep blowin my fuse!!! For all u guys having problems with light fuses, don't forget to check the bulbs...
