Where can I get the Lip? southwestautoworks doesn't have it anymore?

And what's a matching side and rear for it. I thought the Sarona sides would go well and I'm not sure what the rear piece I should get.

Any suggestions?

 

I think you might be out of luck. I heard SWA was trying to get the molds for the MT lip and start producing them. Best bet is to try calling Steve from SWA and ask him about that.

 

yeah, i was checking for this too for the spring. SWA does have them listed on the site...but so does custommaxima. im not sure if they are exactly the same, but it looks like they are. hopefully SWA can get them, so i can be one of the stillen/maxxtuning group

 

check the classifieds..i think someone was selling his for 200 shipped NIB.

 

I don't see anyone selling it in the classifieds. I guess it's gone. "Darn"... I want it bad now.

 

I found a place where they were selling the stillen lip for 260 shipped.....brand new... but I lost the web site. I'm going to buy it so I will let you know as soon as I find the FU$^$ing website...

 

The Stillen lip is $240 from SWA.

 

I don't think the stillen lip looks that good. It's kinda small I think. That's my opinion.

Anyone have this on their Max, I'd like to look at the pics.

 

I believe that there was only 25 MT lips made. As far as I know they are all sold MT is out of business and the mold is who knows where. I just hope I never have to replace mine or I'm out of luck!

 

I think the max lip looks awesome on your car. The wheels are hot! I hope to get a similar setup on mine soon. I'm starting out with lowering my car with the JIC's first and than the lip and wheels. I'm trying to find the Axis Milano's 19X8.5 but they don't make them anymore. They introduced the Hiro's but the spokes don't look too wide which makes me not like it.

Well, I'm out to hunt for the MT Lip!

 

^^ I've very happy with my Axis wheels. The offset/size is perfect for the 5th Gen. I'd get the Milanos from SpyEngineering. They have the best prices. I think you can get them for under 2k shipped in 19". Best of luck!!

 

What's your offsets that you have on your car? I'm not familiar with it and would like to know.

 

Just spoke to Custom Maxima and they said that it takes a week and half to have them. They said they have them made to order.

 

CM is a waste. They probably don't even know that the MT lip is sold out.

 

Yeah, your right. I bought stuff from them before and didn't have a problem but they seem to be over rated I think. Well, I think they are a sponsor for this place so I can't argue.

Anyway, thanks to a fellow org member I got a MT lip. Unfortunately I am paying twice for this lip. I purchase it from Max Tuning and they never sent it to me which I am part of that gang of folks who paid and never got it.

This is one expensive lip from my pocket.

 

good luck in the find..guess us MT lip owners were just in luck when they were produced...but if you wanna see what the Sarona sides look with the MT lip just take a look at my homepage on cardomain..and also the Stillen rear is gonna be your best bet as well...

does anyone know what kinda luck SWA is having getting the mold? do they have to get it from MT (good luck), or can they base their mold off a premade lip? like, use one of the lips somebody has and use that to make a mold?

I'd say we got lucky...but hell we paid and waited a full 6 months for this lip! IMO its worth much more than $200 at this point.

 

Wow, I sure as hell lucked out getting mine when I did. I ordered it right before I went on vacation and got it when I came back. Must have been one of the last ones. I still haven't gotten it painted yet.

 

The lips are still very readily available. I have another 20 or so on order.

 

hell yeah it was a helluva 6 months too..seemed like forever!
