16 or 17
There is one main attraction to 17" rims, they look sweet. There are several disadvantages though, that 16" rims will less likely have.
1. 17"s rims weigh a lot and you will pay top dollar to get them at a light weight.
2. 17"s will cause a harsher ride quality due to the less rubber and more metal.
3. 17"s are very prone to denting if you hit a pot hole. If you regularly drive over pothole ridden roads, you take the risk of ruining your rims.
For many people, the advantage of great looks out weighs these disadvantages, but I would go for a nice set of 16" and get some lowering springs with the money you save. Just my opinion though.
