Well, i finally got one. Drove 250 miles to Cedar Rapids, Iowa yesterday for a '97 SE 5-Speed. Black on Black Htd. Leather, Dual Power Seats, Auto Climate, BOSE, Tinted Windows (20%ish)... basically every option I can think of. Its got 123k, but a dry underbody and a clean exterior and interior... I really like it so far; it was really smooth and easy to drive back on the highway. The engine is so quiet, i was doing 85 in 4th gear and I didnt even know it. Being my first 6 cylinder, I was really impressed by the 70+ mph acceleration.. lots of fun.


One question though... The car has a hideous dealer badge on the trunk (no, i didnt buy it from a dealer). Not a sticker, a glued on badge. Whats the best way to remove this without ruining the paint?

One more... I definitley want to get a Hybrid Intake to give this car a voice. Unfortunatley, I'm also cheap. Can anyone point me in a good direction? Thanks.

I would post pictures of the car, but the only digital camera I have is on my phone. And to make things worse im also on a 56k connection on a slow computer. Take my word for it though, its a great looking car.

 

Look in the faqs for instructions on debadging...that will be the same as taking off the dealer thing.

Alot of people like hacking the stock airbox since it's cheap (free) and keeps the good throttle response that many say the stock intake has over other systems, but still gives it a more agressive sound.

Finally with gas prices what they are, 5th gear is your freind .
