Frankencar intake or Place Racing intake?

i just wanna know which one is better in gains and sound...
and also which one is easier to install and won't make any problems to my MAF

If I got frankencar, I have to get intake (apexi $190) and also midpipe($70) right?

Do i have to get Apexi Filter with Installation Kit $120 Shipped??

thx

What are you talking about exactly? There are so many options for a short ram air intake, but you won't find better customer support than Bryan at Berk and he gets your order shipped out to you in no time. Can't say that about Frankencar and for the money, you can't beat the Berk IMO. I've had mine on for almost a year now.

Berk Technology Intakes - Part IV

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Part IV for the group deal. The K&N kits include AEM cleaning kits at no additional cost!! I have a limited number of K&N RC3870 filters with these kits. I have about 8 of these in stock. They have a chrome top instead of the regular rubber top.

Design updates:

1. The silicone that we are using is custom made for us now by Thermal Flex. It is much easier to put on than our past couplers.

2. Kits also include split lock washers to provide more constant torque and better sealing on the MAF housing.

All kits come in your choice of Thermal Flex 3-ply silicone couplers - red, blue, or black.

Pricing for August - Sept 2004

2000-2003 Full intake systems with K&N filter

$109.95

2000-2003 Full intake systems with APEXi filters

$169.95

2004-up Full intake systems with K&N filter

$129.95

20040-up Full intake systems with APEXi filters

$175.95

Shipping on any of the above systems is $1.00 to the 48 states. During this promotion only.

Place Racing keeps the temperature more stable when sitting idle in traffic...

otherwise forget Frankencar, there've been all kinds of issues with their service (not receiving any product OR word back from them for months after payment submitted, etc.) but I've heard nothing bad about Berk.
Also, Bryan at Berk shipped me a K&N air filter via GD that I thought I never received... turned out I received it very soon after I bought it, but my roommate forgot to tell me

About 2 years ago frankencar did'nt have this problem, your orders would be there within a week. Now things ARE really different. For one, everybody who works there have other day jobs, in which Frankencar is there part-time job!!!!!!!!!!!! And believe me, your not the only one who have(or had) problems with them. They had also overlooked my order for the catback(along with no response to my emails & phone calls), nothing for a month. The way the problem(for me) got fixed I had end up leaving a message on Scott's phone, and he'd call me the next day. And the day after that I got my catback!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If you don't like being Order from someone else!!!!!!!!

Scott number is on there website.......good luck

If we got your filter out to you soon after you got it, why have you heard all the bad things about us? Who's slamming us? I give it my best to give the best service that I can.

I didn't say I had ever heard bad things about you I've heard nothing but good things, and my post above was an oddly-worded (I'm good at doing that ) story to reaffirm that

Ask Bl_asd up there about his post... ".... i think many people here don't really into berk....how's the sound..coz most air intake don't have much difference...so i care more about the sound, berk is really cheap thou.."
That's the total opposite from what I've heard...
