Brake Prob!!! Rubbing When Turning Left!!

Hi everybody, I need a little help from the .org I got my powerslots and hawk brake pads installed about a month ago, and ever since then it sounds like my brakes are rubbing when I make a med-hard left turn, sounds horrible. I think there is something wrong with the installation of the brakes and that it is rubbing even when i driving straight even though i can't hear it. The reason why I think this is because my MPG have went down ever since I got them installed which leads me to believe something is rubbing and causing resistance hence my MPG going down. Is this possible, that a faulty installation is causing the brake pad to constantly rub, or does anybody have any other ideas?

Thanks

Yeah it is possible. One way to know for sure would be to find something like a parking lot and after the car is cool and the brakes are totally cooled down, drive it around benig sure not to touch the front brake. Just drive around the parking lot a few times. Use your hand brake to gently slow it when it's time (since it is on the rear), then see if there is any heat from your front brakes. There shouldn't be; if there is you know that they are unduly rubbing against the rotor.

most likely it is one of the metal dust shields scraping the back of the rotor. i've seen this on alot of maximas after pad and/or rotor changes. take the wheel off and inspect to make sure there is plenty of clearance between the metal dust shield and the rotor. The dust shield is the metal piece that is right behind the rotor...it is most likely to rub at the bottom....all you ahve to do is bend it back by hand a little bit.

Or you have a bad wheel bearing that only makes itself known when you turn left. This is my 2nd guess, after the dust shield.

Thanks for your replies, hopefully its just the dust shield or something easy, because this noise happened right after the installed the rotors/pads. Thanks guys I will also try the parking lot test and see how it goes. I will find out by the end of this week sometime and let you guys know.
