Brake shuddering when wet?

Just wanted to find out if anyone know if this is normal.
Ok so I have a really steep driveway and when it rains and I have to back out of the driveway the car (from the brakes) makes a lot of noise when I apply the brake. Its like a loud, low frequency(almost like deep bass) noise accompanied with vibration. Just really rough sounding. This ONLY happens when it rains so I am guessing its from the rotors/pads being wet.
I have found I can avoid this if I tap the brakes several times before I get to the steep part of the driveway.
Also, once I am off the driveway this never happends on the road. All of the above is never associated with any loss of breaking power just all the noise/vibration.

So whats the deal?

Just off hand, I though it was the pads slipping on the rotors because of them being wet and the steepness of the driveway. Because it goes away after a few taps I am guessing everything is dry by then and so it doesnt happen.

Does this sound right? If anyone thinks its anything more serious like warpped rotors or low pads please hollor.

Thanks.

It's normal... lightly pump the brakes to heat them up and dry off the pads.

Yeah, it's normal. I was thinking more along the lines that your rotors are coated in rust as a result of the rain and that you're hearing the pads "clean them off"...but it still shouldn't be anything to worry about.

Ya I always notice rust on the rotors after rain but it does always clear off after the car is driven.
