I have a '95 maxima with factory leather. I bought it Aug. '95 and has seen Hot oklahoma summers since I bought it there. So far the leather has held up pretty good and has not dried out much. Question I have is how has everyone elses leather held up?

Besides a couple of faint scratches, mine looks great. It looks even better than my Lincoln that is 3 years newer and has half the miles. Of course, I have taken good care of it, and the car spent the first 2/3 of its life in Seattle, where you don't have to worry about the sun.

My leather still looks excellent. In fact, I just came in from applying conditioner to the leather, and I've never even done that before. I figured I ought to do that while it still looks good.

I have a dried/cracked 2" X 4" spot in the very center on the top of the rear seat and some stress marks on the drivers side medial side of the seat. I'm seriously considering reupholstering, but first, Im going to check a junkyard for a new back seat. Rest of it is fine though.

Leather's holding great. With the exception of light scuffing on some seams on the left side of the driver's seat (from entering/exiting the car on a daily basis), you'd think the leather was brand new.

My 3rd gen leather didn't hold out as well, as this current car, but then again, it could have been due to the previous 3rd gen owner not taking care of the leather as good. I apply leather conditioner on it every month or so.

My leather looks as good as the leather in the '97 Maxima brochure I still have. It still smells new. (Thats Nissan quality for you!) Use Lexol conditioner for it. Tint helps also.
