it would have a p trim. what thoughts do you have on using this turbo on a fully built maxima engine. 3.4 L stroked engine with compression at 8:1 and using 555 injectors for now with jwt ecu. will switch to a stand alone later with bigger injectors. my main concern would have to be lag. i don't want to have to use n.o.s. but may have to if needed. any feed back would be great. you can also email me at

sleepin99@comcast.net

thanks in advance guys.

GT45 is pretty big, I was talking to some guy last night about his 800 whp supra. e had a SP something but I asked his what it relaed to as a garrett. He said between a T78 and T80. He was running 32 lbs of boost. He said he starts making boost at 4200 rpm and gets full boost at 5000 rpm. He said on slicks he ran a 10.2 in the 1/4 mile. Why don't you go with something like a T60-1 or something a little bigger. Plus your going to use up those injectors at 1 bar.

i was planning on using a turbo that size on my 4.5 liter V8 out of a Q45. (putting it in a Z). that may be just a tiny bit big for our cars. i've been looking at compressor maps and the GT35 seems like it'd be pretty nice for someone looking for some high power output (should get you into the 600-700 hp range if i remember correctly).

How much power do you want to make? I think you will be fine with the T70 or T61 because they are both based on a t4 turbo. You really can't go much farther one bar on the maxima without upgrading internals.

Um, his first post states that he has a stroked 3.4L w/ 8:1 compression internals.

okay but still he can only go so far with the 555 cc injectors. So why have a minumum powerband when you can have a huge powerband with on of the smaller turbos.

His first post also states that he would be getting larger injectors and moving to a standalone later on.

say he gets full boost with that big turbo say 4500 rpm. That means his powerband is only going to be 2000 rpm between 4500 rpm and 6500 rpm.

Witht he smaller turbo he can get boost from 3000 rpm to 6000 rpm before boost starts falling off. Thats a bigger powerband with more torque down low.

But whatever. Go witht eh big turbo and tell us how it goes.

He will have a 7200 limit of more for sure. 4500-7200 is a full band with stock gearing

ferhan also has the auto tranny, so unless he manually shifts or gets the tranny ecu reprogrammed he will have regular shifts until he wants to drag.

ferhan, i would go with the smaller AR .6x is still a little large for the exhaust housing.

its going to have major lag, especially with daily driving.

He should find someone who can make him one of those programs where he can shift by electronic means instead of manually shifting it. Some guy on the boards made one but he only made a few. I think level 10 makes them too.
