Y-Pipe/Cat Wire

Is the grounding wire that is on one of the cat bolts really neccesay? If so where does it connect to (don't have it on mine) ...

i just redid my exhaust and had to disconnect the wire when i was removing bolts etc now i'm throwing out codes for ALL my o2 sensors.

Anyone know anything about this ground wire and what it does??

Yes, the ground wire can cause your rear o2 to go bad. It has nothing to do with the front ones.

I've hadn't had that wire for so long and I never had any O2 problems...but still, the entire exhaust should still be grounded since its directly connected to the engine, no?

haha, that cable/wire has been broken on my car for soooooo long, havent had any o2 sensor/electrical problems whatsoever.
