0215 check engine light
hey guys, i got a check engine light, and i checked it out, turns out its a 0215...i couldnt find it in the faqs, and trhe site which gives you a diagnosis doesn't work for me....please could you tell me what the problem is? thanks.
0215 ='s EVAP canister vent control valve closed
The EVAP is a charcoal filled canister that stores fuel vapors inside & then releases them into the engine when the motor is running. The EVAP control valve is a electronic solenoid/valve that opens & closes to allow these vapors to release back into the engine for smog purposes. On 93, 94 & 95 models this valve is controlled with vacuum. On your model 98 it is electronic & the PCM controls when it opens & closes.
