4th to 5th Gen Headlights Mod!

Funny little story... (not really)... Just a few minutes ago I was thinking about how dificult would it be to fit the 5.5 gen Max's headlights onto the 4th gen... So yeah... I just happen to go to CustomMaxima.com and clicked on the Sarona design hoods link and BLAMMO!!!! There was a 4th Gen Maxima with the 5.5 gen headlights!!

http://www.customenterprise.com/view.../vts/design004

Has anyone else here done that mod? If so, how hard was the fabrication and such? How much did it cost to get that rigged?! I would really like to have this mod if it's not all to difficult/costly.

Anyone?

Thanks

I think it's messed up that they show you a picture but not the kit to do it. Looks nice and it'd be nice to have projector headlights... update the look a little. Doesn't look easy to do.

I did see a 4th gen a while back with them but it didnt look right. Now if they made projectors for ours then that would be awsome. Why hasnt anyone ever made them like they do for thoes damn hondas?

those honda projectors are cr@p quality anyway, you wouldnt be happy with them...part of the reason alot of them are putting oem stuff back on.

there was someone as stated above that was doing it and he was not done yet. That in the pictures looks cheap as all hell. the guy who was doing it took alot of time and the projected looked great at the stage he was in. that just looks awful on custommax

The car you all are referring to was using an M-style bumper.

anybody ever put fog lights in those two rectangular spaces in the bumper? the top two spaces not the regular fog light spaces....and it does look a little crappy, but they def have potential

Now that I see that picture bigger... it doesn't look like the driver side headlight lines up too good with the grille. It also looks like it's sitting too high above the bumper and sticking out a little... there's a shadow. The hood is too high above the headlight too it seems.

Hmm, this car is starting to look good from far... but far from good.

Headlights conversion is soooo 3 years ago. It went away with those aluminum wings. Anyway..it looks funny on the 4th gen.

dude, it looked good for about 3 minutes, untill i put the fron end of that car to the rest of the 4th gen maxima...

Yea, its gay....and no matter what you try to do, you will never be able to fit HUGE A$$ lights like that on the max and make it look right.

It looks like a whale! the front looks nice, but cmon, seriuosly that front end only matches itself, not the whole car...

thats garbage, stick to cefiros..

I don't really like the look of multiple projectors. It looks too much like a spider imho. I actually prefer the one projector look in the stock headlight casing.

I agree too that those are way to big for the body of the 4th gen.

I must admit, the more I look at it, the more it does look odd... It was interesting to me at first. And of course, I can see the fitment probs. If you ask me though, I think the fitment is good considering the awkwardness of the mod.

But yeah, I think my desire to the this mod is about nil now. Even still, I give the guy points for originality. Although, I don't think it looks as bas as some here are making it out to be. You know what they say.... You can't please everyone. As long as you yourself are happy then, that's the only thing that matters...

P.S. ... If you're worried about ugly... Talk about his Rims! Chrome = Horribly Gay.
Heh... Again though, my opinion doesn't matter anyway

the lights are sick looking but fitment is a problem. if they fit better without any gaps, it woulld be cool.
