What makes the brake booster not work properly?

I have a 95 Maxima and recently had a brake job. The pedal makes a weird noise when it goes to the ground, like I'm touching metal. When the air conditioning is on I have a hard time stopping. The car has even skidded a couple of times. I took it back to the dealer and they said that I needed injectors and ignition coils to make the brake booster work at normal specs. Is this true? They didn't tell me that before the brake job and knew about the injectors and coils.

Thanks
