Questions concerning my dyno...

I entered into the NOPI Nationals this year, and dyno'd my car. My results have me really confused. It was a Mustang Dyno outdoors with no fan or anything. i don't have the sheets in front of me but i'll do my best to remember everything

FYI - I have a 95gxe auto with a budjet y-pipe, FrankenCar Intake, and a generic ebay muffler on the stock b-pipe. runs were made in third w/ OD on.

Numbers:

First Pull
119.6hp @ 108mph - 202lb/ft @ can't remember

Second Pull
121.4hp at 109mph - 207lb/ft of torque

Now here's where it gets interesting, and why i'm questioning it. first off the dyno operator said that they weren't measuring torque because they were missing some sensors and stuff. there was an SRT-4 that went right after me with a dyno sheet from 2 days prior off of a dynojet showing he put down 299hp to the wheels. on the dyno he put down 160hp and 302lb/ft of torque. he wass more upset about his numbers than me, for good reason :P . i go park my car and go back over to the dyno area. when i get over there, there was a civic hatch with nitrous and a big turbo getting ready to dyno. he dyno'd at 242hp and 453lb/ft of torque. i was in absolute shock. he was yelling at the dyno operator like crazy. he reached into his glove box and pulled out a few dyno sheets with him putting down 450-465hp. this got me thinking. by comparing the numbers those guys got to the numbers they put down on a dynojet, and the numbers they were getting from the mustang dyno, it appeared as though the torque numbers were the hp numbers. now having said that, i know there's no way in hel my car has 207hp with the few mods i have, but i will say it's alot faster than other maxes i've ridden in with similar mods. i used to beat stock 00-01's before my y-pipe. My car used to run consistent 9.4-9.6 in the 1/8 at around 75-76mph before my 18's if that helps.

Any enlightenment would be greatly appreciated.

Thats just plain weird. . .Theres no way your car has 120 hp, and no way it was 207 tq, nor the other way around either, that was a wack dyno.

i had the same problem with a mustang dyno as did my buddy with a spec v. and this wasn't his first mustang dyno that was disappointing. they had to try 4 times to get the fiber optic to set right, then when i finally got the thing to dyno right, i came up with 139.8hp @5750rpms and 145.9tq @4500rpms. the only mod i had on at that time was the Magnaflow muffler and the KS bypassed with a resistor. there has to be something wrong because if you look at my dyno sheet, there is a large dip at about 5200rpms and i didn't feel any bog. needless to say, mustang dynos don't seem to be very accurate.
