Have a blow torch handy. The bolts connecting the Y-pipe to the cat were very rusty on my car.

yeap!
since June 03 for the white one, april 02 for the black one, never did buy one.

So I did it in almost the exact oppisite order that most people do, lol.

Now I need to go get a gasket for the catback side flange, I'm going to replace my test pipe with the cat.

No it's not. As usual, Shawn Puffy Brains doesn't clarify shat. He has a Fidanza flywheel, Jeff92se style CAI, LTB, front/rear RSBs, Greddy catback, my old short shifter, and some other crap. I think he means this is his first mod he actually paid retail for or something.

Yeah, I also remember them giving me back an empty gas bottle! I ran my current bottle for at least 2 hours of straight welding and it's still about 1/2 full. I think someone didn't turn the gas off or something. Oh well.

It wasn't me, back then I didnt touch it unless John said I could, because he was the one reponsible for it lol.

Technically my intake is a MrGone style intake, I was the first one with it and it was half my idea

I just got a quote for the LCA bushings, $100-$120 to get them pressed out, I kinda laughed, meh, forgot my wallet anyway (had to make it down there before 5 and was kinda rushing). How much do you think that your shop will charge Jeffy? I dont really want to mess with it, but I probably will anyway lol.

and yeah, I guess this could be my first mod I bought retail, I was just kind of fawking around with the thread title. Fidanza was new, Exedy was new, Matts stuff was/is new, but meh.

I don't know how much it will cost. Earls Machine is a machine shop. Don't know if they have a press but they should. 206-243-8284

And again, yes, the stuff was new but the question was you paying RETAIL. Not quite the same but I always end up or when having discussions with you. haha

put it on and started the car, no gasket between the y-pipe and test pipe though.

for some reason it stumbles when you rev it to about 3000rpm with the VTCs grounded, ungrounded it goes away.
I'm thinking about just installing my LCA's and dealing with the bushings later, I want to drive it sooo bad hehehhee.

oh yeah, installing it was kind of a PITA, but meh. The trick is to loosely fit the socket on the extension and tighten it, or use 1/4" drive stuff (mine isnt here soooo), worked like a charm

is it necessary? did you use the stock one? my stock hanger is rusting and idunno if i can still use it or not.

i think im gonna contact them tmrw and get it from them. im having trouble with warpspeed for some reason. first time i called them and paypal them the money and all info. 1 week later i get no response, no ypipe, and nothing from them so i called them. they said they dont have me listed for a order and the lady says shes gonan find out from her boss. she tells me shes gonna ask her boss and she will call me later. did not get a call. i call them the next day and they dont pick up my call and machine says that the next business day is on tuesday. i called on a thursday i think. i call again on tuesday and they say the shipped it out and i recieved it on the 17th which was a friday. took almost 3 weeks for me to recieve my ypipe after i paypaled the money to them. and now im missing parts... just to make sure all y pipes come with this hanger and clamp rite? i have a 91 se just incase if thats necessary..

Well I ordered mine on the first, recieved it today. I think there was a shipping mishap, ohwell. I'm generally really patient (but not really lol) when it comes to shipping stuff. I didn't get charged until a few days ago. Meh, they are busy, and were very nice and extended the Group Deal pricing for me because I didnt think about the 3 hour time difference when I tried calling the previous day.

I didn't even want to call today because I hate pestering people. The WSP lady was nice, she was familiar with my order, gave me the tracking number (I didn't ask for it) and said it should be there tommarrow. Both times I've called (During business hours, hint hint) I've gotten ahold of her within 2 rings.

The shipping time sucked, I dont think it was their fault though, as another member who ordered his the same day got his almost a week earlier. Final product is very very nice, very pleased. Would be nice if the install was as easy as stock, but meh.

Crap, Shawn, it sure has taken you long enough to get that thing...and you have spent enough time dilly dallying around on the computer and not in the garage...

Why did you put your cat back on? Do you have to go through emissions soon or something? Or do you think it will be too loud?

BTW, for those of you complaining about the rust and difficulty taking off the pipe, etc. We live in an area that doesn't use salt on the roads at all. When I took my 11 year old y-pipe off last year, it was in perfect shape and came off with ease. I still used the same bolts for it. My muffler is still the original stock one (haven't put my GReddy on yet) and it doesn't have any rust. When it coms to exhaust, salt sucks, we win, end of story.

If I was really trying, I wouldn't combine multiple quotes into one post (this would be one post, but we're only allowed 5 smilies/pictures per post )

The Magnaflow is back in Chris's hands, although I had to convince him to take it. He didn't really want it (or remember it). He called me over asking about the muffler in the trunk and was like "I dont want this peice of crap *pauses for a second, thinks of the GReddy* here you take it ". Ofcourse I was the same way lolI Probably should have just taken it though, coulda put it on the Mustang
