Maxima logo peeling away

So the Maxima logo/badge on the trunk lid is coming unglued. Right now it's just the center, but I'm thinking it may be best to completely remove the badge, clean off the old glue, and then reglue it back on rather than just try to swab in some glue.
How should I go about doing this? What kind of glue do I use?
Thanks for any help.

If you are reattaching the logo so that it sticks well to the trunk lid this time, you may want to consider buying the new logo with adhesives already positioned and attached to it.

I recently replaced the logo on the trunk lid myself. I did "dental floss" method when I took it off and it went easily as many people here suggested. I took the glue residue off using clay bar. Then I put the new logo.

You have already seen this because your logo is partially peeling off, but when you shave off the logo it's not just glue you take out, you also take spongy thingy between the logo and glue. Besides, if I'm not mistaken, your logo is long single one with all letters attached to each other like "M_A_X_I_M_A" and you need to make sure that it sticks right. IMO it's so much easier to buy a new one....

The max is debadging itself dood.

Set aside 30 minutes, get some cleaning supplies / wax, and finish the job!

The last "A" fell off my old roomate's '95 and he replaced it with an Auburn University logo. g h e t t o

I just looked in the stickies cuz I was thinking about shaving the nissan hamburger (it's 10x easier than i thought!)

Just one question about it... How do I "clay bar" the surface?? What is a clay bar and how do I get one?

Probably a noob question, but oh well I gotta learn somehow...
